Day 1 Airport – Yangon (-/L/D)
AM: Welcome and transfer to city tour by Dandaryi tour guide. Visit Sule Pagoda in the center of the city and Mahabandoola Park. Visit Botahtaung Pagoda and jetty.
PM: (Lunch time) Visit the National Museum to view the Lion Throne of Myanmar Kings, Royal Regalia and other items of historic significance. Hotel check in. Visit Chauk Htat Gyi reclining Buddha. Visit world famous Shwedagon Pagoda in which are enshrined the sacred hairs of Lord Buddha. This gold-clad Pagoda rising to a height of 100 meters dominates the city’s skyline. Dinner and overnight hotel.
Day 2 Yangon – Bagan (B/L/D)
AM: Take morning flight to Bagan. Visit Nyaung Oo market, Shwezigon Pagoda, the prototype of later Myanmar stupas, Kyansittha Umin (Cave) with interesting frescos, Gubyaukgyi Temple, Ananda Temple and architectural masterpiece and the most venerated in Bagan. Visit Thatbyinnyu Temple, the massive Dhamayangyi Temple with the finest brickwork, Htilominlo Temple, a local village and Sulamani Temple. View beautiful sunset over the Ayeyarwaddy from Buphaya Pagoda. Overnight hotel.
Day 3 Bagan (B/L/D)
AM: Visit Phwasaw village, Myazedi Temple, Gubyaukgyi Temple, Manuha Temple, Nanpaya Temple, Lawkananda Temple, Ashay Petleik and Anauk Petleik Temples.
PM: Lunch. View making of lacquerware for which Bagan is famous. Visit Mingalarzedi Pagoda and Kyakkan Umin (Cave) Monastery, Shwesandaw Temple from where the beautiful sunset can be viewed. Dinner with show and overnight hotel.
Day 4 Bagan – Pakokku – Monywa- Mandalay (By car)
AM: Leave for Pakokku by car and then proceed to Monywa, about 130 km to the west of Mandalay. It is the commercial centre of the Chindwin valley. Visit Thanbodday Temple. Proceed to Mandalay. Overnight Hotel.
Day 5 Mandalay – Mingun – Ubein – Mandalay (B/L/D)
AM: Take boat trip upriver to Mingun to view the world’s largest uncracked bell and the unfinished Pahtodawgyi Pagoda. Return to Mandalay Lunch. Visit Zeycho Market, gold leaf making industry, bronze works and traditional handicrafts, Kuthodaw Pagoda known as the World’s largest book for the 729 marble slabs in its compound on which are inscribed the entire Buddhist Scriptures. Then visit Shwenandaw Monestery and Kyauktawgyi Pagoda. Ascend Mandalay Hill for a panoramic view of the surrounding area. Dinner and overnight hotel.
Day 6 Mandalay- Yangon (by flight, AM)
AM: Take flight to Yangon in morning and then Yangon sightseeing in arrival. Visit Kabaye (world peace) Pagoda, man-made Mahapasana Cave.
PM: Lunch. Other interesting sites include the 70-metre long Chaukhtatkyi (Reclining Buddha) Image. Visit Bogyoke Market and China town. Dinner and overnight hotel.
Day 7 Yangon – Airport (B/-/-)
AM: Breakfast. Free time. Transfer to airport for departure.
