Day 1 Airport – Yangon (-/L/D)

AM: Welcome and transfer to hotel by Dandaryi guide. Visit the National Museum to view the Lion Throne of Myanmar Kings, Royal Regalia and other items of historic significance. Visit world famous Shwedagon Pagoda in which are enshrined the sacred hairs of Lord Buddha. This gold-clad Pagoda rising to a height of 100 metres dominates the city’s skyline. Other interesting sites include the 70-metre long Chaukhtatkyi (Reciling Buddha) Image, the Sule Pagoda in the centre of the city and Bandoola Park. Dinner and overnight hotel.

Day 2 Yangon – Bagan (B/L/D)

AM: Take flight to Bagan in morning. Visit Nyaung Oo market, Shwezigon Pagoda, the Prototype of later Myanmar Stupas, Kyansittha Umin (Cave) with interesting frescos Gubyaukgyi Temple, Ananda Temple, an architectural masterpiece and the most venerated in Bagan. Visit Thatbyinnyu Temple, the massive Dhamayangyi Temple with the finest brickwork, Htilominlo Temple, a local village, and Sulamani Temple. View beautiful sunset over the Ayeyarwaddy from Buphaya Pagoda. Dinner and overnight hotel.

Day 3 Bagan – Mandalay (B/L/D)

AM: After breakfast, take plane to Mandalay and visit Mahamuni Pagoda in which enshirined the much venerated Mahamuni Image brought from Rakhine State in 1784 and Mahagandayone Monastery where about 1000 monks reside, Amarapura, an ancient capital and visit the magnificent all-teak U Bein Bridge. PM: Lunch. Visit Ava and cross the river to Sagaing and view Sagaing Hill dotted with white and gold pagodas. Return to Mandalay. Dinner and overnight hotel.

Day 4 Mandalay – Mingun – Yangon (B/L/D)

AM: Take boat trip upriver to Mingun to view the world’s largest uncracked bell and the unfinished Pahtodawgyi Pagoda. Return to Mandalay.
PM: Lunch. Visit Zeycho Market, gold leaf making industry, bronze works and traditional handicrafts, Kuthodaw Pagoda known as the World’s Largest Book for the 729 marble slabs in its compound on which are inscribed the entire Buddhist Scriptures. Then visit Shwenandaw Monastery and Kyauktawgyi Pagoda. And then take PM fly back to Yangon. Dinner and overnight hotel.

Day 5 Yangon – Airport (B/L/-)

AM: After breakfast, visit Botahtaung Pagoda and jetty, Bogyoke Market, Photo stop at Kandawgyi Lake. the beautiful Shwe Dagon Pagoda.
PM: Lunch. Free time, and then transfer to airport for departure.
